Sawatdee krap Familia :)
My day started early and I was super excited to go to the Haad Yao Divers first thing in the morning! We went to a place called ‘Sail Rock’ – it was about an hour of boat ride and there were a total of 30 divers. Everybody was super pumped! My diving instructor’s name is Julian. I met a couple of 21-year-old Austrian brats during the boat ride. XD We were diving together for the day. Nico & Andreas have great energy.
We got to dive in exchange for a few SATS.
After a breath-taking experience of diving, we returned to the shore at around 3:00 PM, had lunch, interacted with everyone, and understood the vibe of the place. This island is a magical island. Some believe the island is 1 Big Quartz or a powerful stone.
I, then went on to meet Tiki, who has been on the island for over 20 years. He was organizing a crypto meet-up at his tattoo studio. He was offered 4000 Bitcoins in 2012 by one of his clients and he rejected it.
He is a very famous tattoo artist – as in, INSANELY famous – his schedule is pre-booked for 2 years from now! :O
We came back to Buddha Café in the evening. There was ‘Crypto Night’ being organized by Edwin. A lot of beginners of the crypto space were present at the meetup. Edwin also had scheduled a small interview with me to let people know about my journey ‘Run with Bitcoin’. Soon after the interview, Nico & Andreas came by to the cafe. We did get a few drinks together and then proceeded to ‘Raasta Home’, had a few drinks there and then moved onto ‘Sabai Bar’ and repeated our drinking session. We bar-hopped until 3:00 AM!
On my way back home, it started raining! I was fortunate enough to reach home safely. At this point, I was super hungry and every restaurant around me was shut for the day/night. I really missed using fiat currency at this point as not many people would accept Bitcoin on this island at this hour :D
Which reminds me… there was this Portuguese guy named Juan who was kind enough to get me a few drinks in exchange for sats – thank you, kind stranger! 😊
Last but not the least, I can’t thank Edwin enough for hosting us and being an incredible host through and through! Really grateful to have my path crossed with him on this journey of ‘Run with Bitcoin’.
Thanks, @nhlarmaan for your assistance.
