Namaste Familia :)
Most of my journey on the train went in reading, chilling, and napping. I woke up at around 9:00 AM, expecting the train to reach the destination by 11:00 AM. However, the train got delayed and I reached Kolkata around 1:30 PM. I was hungry and was looking for something to eat; so I put out a tweet asking if there was any person/service willing to accept sats for food. No luck.
Btw, the world works in mysterious ways when you least expect it! As soon as I woke up from my sleep on the train I found two INR 5 coins on the aisle. I gave those two coins away to the one’s in need ( a disabled person & a cleaning person) on the train itself.
As soon as I touched base in Kolkata, I managed to get an Uber (through Bitrefill) to reach my destination. Raj - one of the Developers, received me at Park Street Metro station. We then went to have lunch at this wonderful restaurant - Trincas. It had a retro feel. Over lunch, we discussed about my journey so far and about Bitcoin in general.
I'd like to highlight that Raj is the first person who really believes in my journey and he contributed to my journey, helped me setup my BTCPay Server portal, helped me connect to a lot more individuals from the Bitcoin community, and a lot more! It was truly a pleasure and an honor meeting him.
After we had our lunch at Trincas, we headed straight to the hotel where my booking was done. Abhijoy from Stacks hosted me at this lovely hotel near Park Street.
Then we had a few puchchkas (Paani Puri) nearby and then stopped by at Jimmy's - where we had a couple of beers. Soon after we left for the meet-up venue - Eighth Day Cafe. However, as soon as we reached there we realized that it was full in capacity - so we moved over to What's Up Lounge which was nearby.
The meet-up had around 7 people who showed up. Vaibhav Gupta from DesiCrypto sent over his team along with a cake! :) It was really sweet of him and his entire team for this gesture. Thanks a lot :)
I also had the opportunity to meet Sandipan, Raj's friend and a person who works with Galoy Money among other enthusiastic friends who showed up for the meet.
At the venue, we had a couple of drinks, spoke about Bitcoin - all courtesy Dibyo who was kind enough to host us and take care of the bill.
After the meetup, everyone departed their separate ways and I reached my hotel. At the hotel, I was finishing up my blogs, having the edited vlogs being published, etc. I later got a message from Dibyo saying that he'd be joining me for the run tomorrow - really excited and looking forward to it! :)
A few exciting developments have happened, which I will reveal to you guys in the upcoming blogs! :D
Humans are kind! I'd like to thank Raj again for his valuable inputs and the absolute sweetness of Team DesiCrypto for their kind gesture of sending over a cake.
Thanks, @nhlarmaan for your assistance.
