Day 396 Run with Bitcoin

Exploring China Aid in Addis Ababa :D

Selam Bitcoin Family,

I woke up in the morning and straight went for my run (8-9Kms). After returning, I freshened up and carried on with some of my work. It was almost 12:00 PM, by the time I finished my work. I along with a French hostel mate went to explore the Red Martyrs Museum (in 1974, there was a communist regime, and they killed around half a million people!).

Later, we tried to visit the Addis Ababa Museum, but unfortunately, it was shut due to a lack of electricity. We then walked to Meskel square and witnessed the holy trinity church. As we were near the church, we were told that we had to pay $6 each to enter the church! The guy at the entrance finally agreed after 10 minutes of us trying to convince him to let us pray and leave.

Inside the church, we were shown around, there was also restoration work going on. The church was made in the 1930s. From there, we went to Friendship Park, which is made by Chinese architects.

Later, we went to the science museum and got some great photos and we celebrated the Ethiopian National Flag Day as well! 😊 We walked throughout the day (almost 11Kms).

On our way back, we had some lunch and returned to the hostel. Later, a few people from the hostel were going to a traditional place called Fendika – where they play jazz music and danced to the local music; I joined them. This went on till 1:00 PM. I also happened to meet the owner of the place, he himself is also a musician and is well respected here. We were drinking Honey wine.

I also met another guy from Italy, who has an Italian restaurant here! He invited me over to his restaurant and agreed for me to pay for the food in Bitcoin! 😊
