Day 394 Run with Bitcoin

Addis Ababa Bitcoin Meetup

Selam Bitcoin Family,

I woke up at 5:30 AM, as the owners were getting the entire house cleaned. I tried to go back to sleep and finally woke up at 630 PM. By the time I was awake, the entire truck was ready with the house to be moved. I tagged along with my host to his new place. They started setting up their new house – it was a really humble place, with almost 4 people sleeping in the same room.

In the meanwhile, I decided that I would find myself a hostel to crash at. I got myself a taxi to the hostel. There, I met an Indian traveler who is a photojournalist and is from Kuwait. I also met a Japanese guy. He is a whole coiner. We all chatted for a while about all the things under the sun.

I freshened up and reached a Yemeni restaurant by 3:00 PM to meet Nathan – a local guy who works with Cardano/local crypto community. I also happened to meet Nemo, who is into Bitcoin mining. We all had lunch together. Post lunch, we went to Bake & Brew for the Bitcoin meetup.

Around 12 people came for the meetup! 😊 I spoke to them about Bitcoin, The Bitcoin Standard. A friend from the USA shared some sats with the community too. We got them Wallet of Satoshi Downloaded.

By 6:00 PM, we went to Danny’s bar with a couple of friends that I had made during the meetup.

The guys I met were into forex trading. Another friend whom I met in La Libela, who happens to be a journalist dropped by as well.

By 12:00AM, we returned to the hostel. I crashed for the night.
