Selam Bitcoin Family,
I woke up at 8:00 AM and by 9:00 AM, the Spanish couple, my host and I went to have breakfast together. Post the breakfast, the couple went on the church tour, I went by myself to the Asheton Maryam Monastery at the top. I walked up very slowly, passing by a small village, farm fields, etc. On the way to the top, I also met some farmer families and kids. I could have taken the car to the monastery – however, I wanted to hike to the place and have a sense of solitude today.
It took me almost 3 hours to reach the top – but it was totally worth it! 😊 I am supremely grateful and thank the lord for giving me the opportunity to continue with this journey. It is said that King La Libella built this monastery first on the top of the mountain just carved out of a single rock! I also got to witness the holy cross, the holy bible which is almost 600-900 years old! :O
After a stop at the monastery, I continued with my hike to the top! By around 2:00 PM, I began my descent. On my way down, I stopped by a local farmer’s house. I had a cup of coffee and some roasted wheat grains.
On returning from the hike, I hosted a small Bitcoin meet-up with the guides. I had them set up wallets of Satoshi and shared a few sats with them as well. I educated them about Bitcoin and told them how they could accept Bitcoin from travelers and tourists etc.
Later, we had some drinks and food. From there, we went to another bar called Torpedo to have Tej! 😊 We danced a lot and then I finally returned home. At home, I told the Spanish couple about Bitcoin and was trying to orange-pill them.
In the bar, we saw the local shoulder Dance of Ethiopia.
Thanks, Nihal for your assistance.
