Hujambo Bitcoin family,
My bus was supposed to reach at 6:30 AM in the morning, but unfortunately, it reached at 8:30 AM! Anyway, as soon as I reached, I quickly went to the center of the town – at the Art Café, where I was supposed to meet the founders of FonBank as they were very keen on partnering with me.
I met Kioneki over a cup of coffee and find out that the guy I was interacting with has been in the space since 2013-2014 and more importantly a HODLer & a Bitcoin believer! 😊
By the time our chat concluded, by 10:00 AM, my friend Rufas came over to meet me. We immediately left for the Capital FM Radio office. We had a great talk with Soni, the RJ. Post the talk show, we went to buy a phone for me from a store that accepts Bitcoin. When I went to that store, I realized they were selling me the phone for an extra $30 – so I decided not to buy my phone from there. I bought it through Rufus by doing a P2P trade. I got a Samsung M-12 phone.
Rufus and I, quickly had lunch at a local restaurant (Beef & Pilao). While we were having our lunch, Rufus told me that my old phone could be fixed – so I handed my old phone over to his friend’s store to get it fixed.
Post our lunch, Rufus and I left to meet sportsbet.io representatives. As soon as we reached the place, Jeremiah and Jaspher (brothers), did a talk show with us for about half an hour to share it on their media channels. i.e. Crypto in Afrika
By 4:00 PM, we got ourselves a cab and left for the meet-up place – Sochati Casa Resort. Initially, there were only 2 of us and another guy who had joined. By 8:00 PM, a lot more people had joined in to listen to us. At the end of it, we had a great time! A lot of Crypto influencers from Nairobi were there. We went about drinking and chatting into the early hours.
Thanks, Nihal for your assistance.
