Hujambo Bitcoin family,
I woke up early and got myself a taxi to reach the railway station as I had a train to the board which was set to leave for Mombasa (a coastal city) at 8:00 AM.
The security at the railway station was INSANE though! First, they checked my passport, then they checked my bags, and then there was a sniffer dog to come check my bags! :O In the screen-check, they found out that I had a Swiss knife in my backpack – and eventually, they confiscated it – I was super upset! :@
As soon as I reached the other side, I was checked again! Thankfully, I was late for the train by a minute and the train departed by 8:03 AM!
The train journey was for around 5 hours – so I decided to finish up some of the pending work and then take a nap.
At 1:30 PM, I reached my destination and went to meet Mr. Najib Balala – he is the Minister of Tourism. He invited me to go along to the clubhouse with him. Met a bunch of folks – Alister & David from Vipingo Ridge. There was a Big Boys Billionaires table! Vipingois 1 hour drive from Mombasa.
I did my best to orange-pill some of them – as I got connected to them through a common friend (who is a Bitcoiner). We then had drinks and had some great food!
Najib then invited us to show his self-sustainable farm where he grows chilies and has a lot of cattle.
They then took me to the clubhouse, where we were chit-chatting about life in general.
We had a great dinner along with CNN News Folks. The folks I was interacting with have been here for 30-40 years now! :O
Najib & Alister accommodated me in the Vipingo Golf Ridge Resort.
All-in-all a chill day! I did a little P2P transaction throughout the day.
Thanks, Nihal for your assistance.
